He is an accredited professional in LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), a Certified Remodeler (CR), and a Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP). He is also a past chairman of the board of the Central California Chapter of NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry), has served on the National Board of Directors for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and was chairman of the NCC (National Contractors Council).
